Detective Grimoire 2!

Hey there!  Remember me?  I used to post here and I even started this blog once.  The site would be pretty dead if it weren’t for Gumby.  Life’s just been too busy.  Anyway I’d like to bring attention to Detective Grimoire 2, the sequel to one of the best games made by Super Flash Bros. The game’s blog opened a month or so ago but it was pretty barren back then.

Recently they’ve shown a bit more of the game, of interest to me was the improved, animated NPC profiles. Detective Grimoire was a really great game and from at least presentation perspective, Detective Grimoire seems to surpass it.  When Grimoire 1 was first released I thought it had some of the best production values I’ve ever seen from a Flash game, but now that we know more about Grimoire 2 I can’t help but feel Grimoire looks a bit cheap.  The artstyle of the original Grimoire was pretty good but the new artstyle of Grimoire 2 makes the previous game look really bland and uninspired.  The unique, animated profiles gives the game some personality and makes the original game look really static and boring.

If they can make another fun point and click adventure game and wrap it up in this new style it’ll be another Flash gem.
